Clara Smith has a bachelor's in Biological Sciences Education from Brigham Young University ('19) and a master's in Curriculum and Instructional Design from the University of Toledo ('21). As an undergraduate, she worked on Educational Research and published "Asynchronous Online instruction Leads to Learning Gaps When Compared to a Flipped Classroom" with the Biology Education Research Group at BYU. She taught Middle School Science for one year following her master's and before coming on to join the 3D-RST Team as a Ph.D. student. Smith has created an online Data Analytics course for BYU-Pathways and a French language learning curriculum for homeschooling. Smith has a passion for teaching, learning, and biology and is excited to be participating in this project.
