Travis Wood

Travis Wood is a teacher at Cedar High School. Currently teaching Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Chemistry, he began his teaching career in 2015. He long-term subbed in a 7th grade science class and then worked at Snow Canyon High School, Cedar Middle School, and his current assignment at Cedar High School. He graduated from SUU with a bachelors in Biology and Chemistry. Prior to his teaching, he was in the U.S. Army for 13 years. He received a purple heart in Afghanistan where he lost his leg above the knee amongst other things while in combat. Travis loves serving his community by trying to be an effective teacher. He has a lovely wife and 3 beautiful children. Seeing students recognize their potential, spending time with his family, service in his church, and building cars are what brings Travis the most joy and purpose in his life.
