Uncovering the Connections between Rural Science Teachers

Presentation Summary:
This study describes ties formed between very geographically isolated teachers. We evaluate to what degree common trends of SNA, such as homophily and proximity, are observed in this population. We identify attributes that correlate with ties (e.g., gender, subjects taught) and the relationship between physical distance and forms of communication.
